Pharmaceutical Testing Sales Representative
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
We are seeking a dynamic Individual who possesses strong business development skills that include a vast amount of experience in consultative selling. The successful candidate has the personality, work ethic, and experience to build a solid portfolio of new business by developing long-term relationships, executing exceptional closing skills and ultimately meeting on-budget performance of sales quotas. We are seeking the right person who can deliver sales growth to support market expansion of analytical testing services to that pharmaceutical/nutraceutical industry in a multi-state geographic territory covering the Western US. cGMP testing services include raw materials, microbiology, method development/validation, and batch release. Preference will be given to candidates located in the Northern/Southern California area. The successful candidate will have experience with pharmaceutical outsourcing, knowledge of the industry & target market, excellent communication skills, a self directed work ethic, and a track record of prospecting /developing customers in an undeveloped territory. Must have a minimum of 5-7 years in B2B technical or pharmaceutical sales. Must have a marketing degree (or equivalent) and have a clean driving record for the past 3 years. Business travel required.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of analytical testing services
Knowledge of the industry and target market
Ability to close the sale
Self-directed work ethic
Required Education, Skills, and Qualifications
BS/BA in Marketing, Chemistry or related field
5 to 7 years sales experience in business to business technical or pharmaceutical/nutraceutical sales
Excellent Communication skills
Experience in developing customers in an undeveloped territory
Experience with pharmaceutical outsourcing
Clean driving record for the past 3 years
Physical Demands:
Travel required (car and air travel) 50% or more
