Location

Kelso, WA.  CAS Kelso is the largest laboratory in the network with over 50,000 square feet of laboratory and support staff space. Kelso is a scenic corner of SW Washington ideally situated 145 miles south of Seattle and 50 miles north of Portland along the I-5 corridor.  With a comfortable rural life style and small-town charm, residents are removed from urban congestion yet have ample access to city amenities and abundant year-round outdoor activities. 

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

The project chemist is the client/laboratory liaison providing technical project oversight; coordinates laboratory and administrative activities to meet project goals; coordinate sample receipt, delivery of sample containers to work sites; review and approval of final reports including writing of the case narrative; coordinate delivery of corresponding EDD’s; provide counsel on protocols to meet project specific data quality objectives and method modifications for non routine matrices. 

Skills & Qualifications

BS in Chemistry or related field with applicable experience. Working knowledge of EPA methods is also desired.  A diversified background in analytical chemistry is also desirable.  Demonstrated communication skills, both verbal and written are required.

Education & Experience

Bachelor's in Chemistry and 5+ years experience required
