Phoenix Laboratory
The Columbia Analytical Services Phoenix laboratory is dedicated to providing creative, cost effective, fixed-base and mobile laboratory analytical solutions in support of environmental field investigations, remediation projects, as well as NPDES, CWA, SDWA, and RCRA sampling events.
The Phoenix laboratory holds the State of Arizona Department of Health Services licensure for metals, wet chemistry, volatile, and semivolatile organic analyses and has been awarded the ACIL Seal of Excellence as well as NELAC licensure.
In addition to our full-service fixed-base laboratory, our mobile laboratories (ADHS-licensed) provide analysis of soil, vapor, and groundwater. The mobile laboratories can be quickly configured for rapid response situations or site investigations in support of real estate transactions, remediation efforts, and emergency situations.
Our mobile laboratories provide compliance and screening methods for environmental analyses in support of RCRA site investigations, remediation efforts, and routine testing of samples from monitoring wells, vapor extraction systems, and bioremediation/natural attenuation projects. Field capabilities range from hydrocarbon testing and metals screening by Energy Dispersive XRay Fluorescence (EDXRF) to contaminant-specific organic analyses by GC, including chlorinated solvents, aromatic hydrocarbons, explosives, PCB and pesticide screening. All mobile/on-site laboratory results are provided in near real-time to expedite the field decision making process. Our field staff has completed projects ranging from one day to months in duration for both the private sector and government entities.
We adhere to a quality assurance/quality control program modeled after the EPA 16 point QA/R2 Manual which provides our clients with the assurance that Columbia Analytical-Phoenix is capable of generating legally defensible data to meet the client’s data quality objectives (DQOs).

Testing Services
The Phoenix laboratory has full service organic and inorganic testing capabilities and is licensed by the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) to provide testing for CWA, AZPDES (Arizona NPDES), RCRA, and SDWA programs within the State of Arizona. Our NELAP licensure also covers the fields of testing such as drinking water, waste water, and hazardous waste.
Mobile laboratories stationed in Phoenix are staffed with analysts specifically trained in field analytical methods. A mobile laboratory can be deployed for rapid on-site testing to provide near real-time results for cost savings and efficient decision-making.
Columbia Analytical/Phoenix has been awarded the ACIL Seal of Excellence. Columbia Analytical/Arizona was formerly known as Transwest Geochem, Inc. (TGI).
